• After the second request, before paying, it checks the invoice amount equals what you entered

What makes a BIP 353 name harder to fake than an ordinary web lookup?

• It is stored on the Bitcoin blockchain
• The DNS record holding the payment instruction must be DNSSEC-signed
• It only works with custodial wallets
